Sleepy Boy

We were told that Malachi gets up 2-3 times a night for feedings. Ugh... So, we went to bed prepared. (However, let me just tell you - especially those of you who are waiting to get your kids.... the babies don't wake up on their own. Rather, the nannies WAKE them up to feed them. We of course, were not going to do that. :) ) Malachi ate at about 7:30 pm last night. Guess what time he woke up??? 8 am this morning !!!!!! And even at that, we had to wake him up! WOW!!!! We all had such a great night sleep. It's amazing what a quiet dark room, with no one waking you up to eat does to a child. He woke up so happy this morning! He never even cried. Even when we changed his diaper (which every time we've done that so far - it seems he views it as a form of torture), he didn't cry ... but rather looked us both in the eyes many many times and even cracked a few smiles. He very calmly took his bottle and continued to gaze at us. We sense God is hearing all our prayers, and is settling this solitary child in his home. (If my bible was with me ... I'd tell you where that verse is. :) Look it up!) We both were just so amazed and thankful at how he was taking us in this morning. He wasn't sure where he was, but he at least remembered us!

Today we are off to the American Embassy to file our final paperwork ... gets us his visa and passport. We also need to get this ball rolling so we can get his German Transit Visa. Please pray for all of this to go smooth and to fall in place so we can make it home as planned. On that note, please add Val to your list. Val is a mom here in our travel group. She is here w/o her hubby (She's pretty much my hero). Her fingerprints have not made it to the Embassy yet !!!!! THis is NOT GOOD. Pray they make it in time, otherwise she certainly will not get out of here as planned. We've seen God do miracles with these situations, and trust he can do the same for Val.

We miss everyone at home .... especially Prov, Eden & Sam. Can't wait to get home!
